In the News & RSS service, it's easy to remove a channel if you decide you no longer want it.
To remove a channel:
1) From the Viigo home screen, click News & RSS.
2) From the News & RSS home screen, highlight the channel you want to remove.
3) Click Menu>Remove Channel.
4) In the Confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
You are unsubscribed from the channel. It no longer appears on your home screen.

If the RSS URL was entered incorrectly and there is an error, It will not Remove the channel.
Try highlighting the channel, clicking the delete short cut key on your BB. Make sure you're not in the article screen... go straight to the news/rss screen to highlight the channel.
I tried that. It does give me the "are you sure" as well using your method, but the channel is not removed and remains. Any other ideas.
Using a Blackberry 8330.
I added a channel using the Aggregator for Google Reader. After unsubscribing to a few of the feeds there I do not see the changes updated on Viigo. I tried following these instructions however, Remove Channel is not an option when I click Menu from the News & RSS home screen with a channel highlighted. I also tried highlihgting the channel and clicking the delete short cut key as suggested above with no luck. I have the Blackberry 8300 Curve. Any other suggestions?
Anyway to delete multiple channels at once? I have like 50 football stat channels that I want to get rid of. It is taking over 10 minutes to delete each one....one by one. I wish they could enable some sort of (Shift+Scroll) system like in BB's OS. It is the exact same via the Computer. You have to click on the "X" one by one. They should create a checkbox-system whereby users can jus check the channels they don't want and click a delete button at the end to get rid of all marked channels at the same time. Someone please help if something like this is available that I'm missing. I'm going crazy here deleting all these stupid stats! (Yes I wanted to see all of them because curiosity got the best of me...and adding them was 1000x faster).
Hi Stephen. Two options to delete many channels quickly...
From the BlackBerry, use these shortcuts to streamline deleting multiple channels.. Just highlight the channel you want to delete. Click the BB delete button. Click Y. Repeat.
From your Web browser (desktop)- go to myviigo.com, sign in, the click the 'X' beside each channel you want deleted. BTW, we're working on a new version of myviigo which should make this even simpler.
Hi.
I linked Google Reader to my Viigo account.
After removing RSS channels from Google Reader they still exist in Viigo account and there is no option to remove in the client or via the web interface. How do I remove these feeds?
hi gmiddleton - it typically takes about 24 hours for any change you make in Google Reader to synch with Viigo. Has it been more than a day since you made this change?
No it was around an hour ago. Thanks for the info.
Hi Jason, same Google Reader problem; after deleting directly (one cannot do that via Viigo), it has not synced; several days have already passed
How do I delete/remove a particular sport under the "sports" category. For example, there is golf, and Fifa, listed under sports and I am not a fan of either, can I delete just golf and fifa? If so, how do I do it? I don't see an option. Thanks
Open the sports service, select golf. This will take you to a screen that shows all the golf channels you are subscribed to. Highlight the channel, click menu, select delete. Then back out to Fifa and do the same.
Okay, I deleted the golf/Fifa channels, but the golf/fifa bars are still there. I want to actually remove "golf" from the screen selection.
I am also trying to delete some of the headings like Golf, Basketball etc but cant anyone have any ideas?????
OK I got it if you remove all the channels within a main channel eg everything within Golf then come out and refresh all channels Golf will go.
Hope this helps.
hi
I think i have found a bug that no one has mentioned on here. I use viigo on my blackberry curve 8330. i went to subscribe to an RSS feed but accidently subscribed to it twice. on the screen that lists all of my channels this feed showed up twice along with the URL in the list that just remained gray and never updated with articles. i tried to get rid of the extra channel by removing it but they all stay in my feed. its annoying to look at but i figured i could just deal with it, but when i open any of the channels to read the articles the highlighter will only highlight every other article. Also, when i try to open up article (A), the highlighter jumps to article (B) and opens that one up instead.
I would really like to get this problem fixed as it pretty much makes viigo unusable.
Hi Jason, same Google Reader problem; after deleting feed directly from google reader, it is still showing up in viigo on my blackberry. I have deleted this feed several days ago. Running Viigo 3.1.507 on platform 5.0.0.517.
I have even gone to the lengths of uninstalling Viigo and then reinstalling it hoping that it would update my Google Reader since half of the feeds I had months ago I have since deleted. Nope. Viigo just goes and gets the old feeds again and DOES NOT UPDATE. I can not delete any feeds individually that were part of the aggregator. I shouldn't have to open a new account every time I update my Google Reader. C'mon Viigo, you can do better than this.
Yeah, definitely uninstalling Viigo for good this time. Using BB Curve 8330. Will find something else that works.
argh.. keep getting the error "Unable to fetch Google Resource due to Authorization error."
I am having the same issues as lutfikamil, "Unable to fetch Google Resource due to Authorization error."
I have tried accessing the google reader from both my blackberry as well as from my desktop on the Viigo website as well, still comes up with the same problems. What is happening?
I'm having the same error as the OP. I typed an RSS url incorrectly, and now it won't let me delete the feed. Any help would be appreciated
this was once a good app.....NOW IT SUCKS..
thank you
